The design of Medallion-Corner is one of the oldest designs of Persian rug, which is designed on two axes of symmetry and includes a medallion at the center of the rug and four corner at the corners of the rug. The origin of Medallion-Corner design stems from Iranian gardens and is a symbol of garden and paradise. The Medallion-Corner design in this rug belongs to weaving area called Farahan in Arak. Farahan medallion-Corner design is one of the oldest designs of Master Ali Rashtizadeh, which was created in 1340 Persian solar in Rashtizadeh rug workshop that is one of the valuable museums works of this collection. All used fibers in this rug are natural and have been dyed with herbal colors and in a natural method.
